Orinda Books will host a Book Birthday Party for local author Janice De Jesus on Saturday, May 19^th at 2 p.m. as she reads and signs her new book, OmStruck: Healing Heartbreak Through Yoga and Meditation. All are welcome.

In OmStruck (185 pp, tpb, $14.95), Janice De Jesus helps others suffering from heartache heal themselves with nonjudgmental, practical advice. Yoga beginners and experienced practitioners alike will find the tools and spiritual support they need to survive the aftermath of a breakup.

“I really want to touch people’s hearts,” Janice says. “It is my hope that even those unfamiliar with yoga, will be encouraged to try it. It was the key to my finding peace and balance and I would like to share those benefits with others.”

Janice De Jesus is a freelance arts and features journalist. An avid yoga practitioner for 13 years, Janice is also a Certified Pilates Instructor and student yoga teacher. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing at Mills College in Oakland, California and teaches ongoing creative writing classes in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is her first nonfiction book.
